Our story
We are Nila and Tina, two friends who grew up in Kerala, India, with a shared love for Malayali culture and nostalgia. Though we were raised in the same cultural backdrop, our paths diverged as we navigated different life journeys. Yet, our shared roots and values remained a constant thread, weaving our friendship together.
In 2020, we reconnected and discovered a shared passion for creating something meaningful together. We started Parishkaaree as a creative outlet, blending our love for 90s Malayalam movies, music, and pop culture with our desire to celebrate strong women and challenge stereotypes. Through our content and merchandise, we aim to spark conversations, build a community, and inspire others to embrace their individuality.
We believe that our cultural heritage and personal experiences shape us, but they don’t define us. We want Parishkaaree to be a symbol of empowerment, self-expression, and the pursuit of one’s passions. By curating products and content that resonate with our audience, we hope to create a ripple effect of positivity and inclusivity.
